I went down to the Melrose Cemetery in Abbeville, Abbeville County, South Carolina today along with my parents and found with the help of the owner of Harris Cemetery out where my great grandmother, Roxie Moss (nee O'Bryant)' brother is buried at.
According to the obituary from Harris Funeral home, William was 80 when he died and it was on a Sunday at 3:36pm. He died while attending a service for a Major R.B. Cheatham, he was sitting on a running board of a car and was dead before assistance could reach him.. He was also a police officer and eventually was a veterinarian surgeon. Surving were his two (2) daughter, Mrs. J.B Shiftlett of Washington, D.C and Mrs. G.B. Rooke of Atlanta, Georgia

Met new cousin
Yesterday, myself and two (2) cousins met a long related cousin that we didn't evenknow that she existed? She showed us some old photos that we have never seen before including a picture of our great uncle when he was younger and also a picture of our 2x great grandfather, Patrick Jackson S. Moss and it was nice seeing pictures that we didn't even think that we would even see in our entire lifetime. I am unable to upload the picture of my 2x great grandfather, Patrick Jackson Moss, because it is an unknown file type.
But as you can see these pictures will be very treasured in our family and some of us are even going to start a Moss Family Reunion? When I spoke to our new cousin, she said that hse hasn't heard any of Moss family reunion and it would very interesting to see if anyone is interested in coming to this reunion? I remember my mom and dad saying that they took my grandmother,Jewel Hazel Moss to a Moss family reunion in Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia before I was even born and to this day, I have never heard of a Moss family reunion and it would interesting to see if anyone out there is actually interested? Only time will tell?

Hembree, a son of James Drayton Hembree, in Murray Co., GA. March 26, 1887. A son, William M. Hembree, was born to them on April 12, 1887. Dates, however close, are from Murray Co.
Marriage
Records Book I-VI and William M. Hembree's WWI Civil Draft record.
